Reducers, screws and bearings
The parts that decide whether your joint has the backlash, stiffness and life you designed for. Cheap here is expensive later, and we will say so.
What we source in this category
Harmonic drives as component sets or housed units. Planetary and cycloidal gearboxes. Planetary roller screws and ball screws for linear joints. Crossed roller bearings and thin-section bearings.
What we need from you
- Rated output torque and ratio
- Acceptable backlash, in arcmin
- Required L10 life or duty cycle
- Input interface and mounting envelope
- Whether you need a component set or a housed unit
Where we push back
Harmonic drive quality varies more than almost any other line on a robotics BOM, and the price spread between the best and worst domestic suppliers is wide enough to be tempting. If you ask for the cheapest option on a joint that will see millions of cycles, we will quote it and also tell you what we think will happen. The decision stays yours.
Indicative ranges
Replace with your own figures once you have run real orders. These are placeholders.

| Planetary gearbox | 3:1 – 100:1 | 3–15 arcmin | 1–10 | 1–2 weeks |
| Cycloidal drive | 30:1 – 120:1 | < 1 arcmin | 1–10 | 2–4 weeks |

Send one line and see what comes back.
You do not need a finished BOM to start. Send the single part that is currently blocking you and we will quote it. It costs you an email and tells you more about us than this page can.
